The GEC Preschool benefited from several organizations that conducted toy drives for the young children with I/DD attending our school in Boro Park. Woodhull Hospital Ambulatory Care Shared Governance Council, the Saint George Theater, Michelle Swiney Hair, Hamilton Park Concerts (courtesy of Michelle Swiney) and AHEPA (The American Hellenic Education Progressive Association), courtesy of Nick Chamberas, have long been supporters of GEC and their generosity overflowed as a truckload of toys was unloaded at the preschool.
Fortunately, Santa Claus was on hand to delight each child and make sure everyone received toys. A very happy time, celebrating with music and snacks, was had by all! The parents and the very dedicated preschool staff, led by principal Jolene Gunther Doherty and building superintendent Santa Claudio, were very moved by the kindness of these great friends!
