Jeannie Drago was awarded the Outstanding Achievement Award in April for work done that was outside of her normal job responsibilities and comfort zone. Jeannie, who has worked for GEC for over 10 years, is the assistant manager at Quinones Residence. She already has a difficult job; along with the manager, John, they are responsible for so many things that keep the residence running smoothly: ensuring there is sufficient staff coverage, that there is always fresh food and the pantries are stocked, so very many details of everyday life and, of course, that everyone in the house feels supported in the way they need. She had already assumed responsibility for all the day-to-day tasks of running the house while the John was on vacation. But when an extraordinary event occurred with one of the people who live there, she needed to truly step up doing work above and beyond the usual.
GEC always appreciates the hard work of their residential team, who are on call 24/7, but this was a particularly unique circumstance and one that deserves recognition. Congratulations Jeannie on receiving the outstanding achievement award for April!
