At GEC, we offer a free, full-day pre-K program for 3 and 4-year-olds with a dually NYS-certified early childhood and special education teacher in each classroom. Our program runs five days per week from September to June.
We have bilingual teaching and support staff on-site who speak a variety of languages. We proudly partner with the New York State Education Department for our pre-K for all programs.

GEC supports all learners in building strong foundations for success in school and beyond.
We offer a full-day schedule with breakfast, lunch, and snacks provided daily and an on-site playground. Strong practices are in place to support English language learners.
In GEC’s program, children are in a safe learning environment with 15 children per class and opportunities to explore, create, and participate in engaging learning activities and interact with other children and teaching staff. GEC builds on the strengths of our students and their families and celebrates their diverse backgrounds.
GEC Preschool is a Multidisciplinary Evaluation Site. We are authorized by New York State’s Education Department to do evaluations for preschoolers who may have disabilities. We are currently able to do evaluations in both English and Spanish. Evaluations by a psychologist, speech therapist, occupational therapist, and physical therapist are available at no cost to families.
