Longtime Residence Manager, Maryann Sullivan Retires

Maryann Sullivan retired from her position as manager of the Charter Residence at the beginning of 2024. Maryann has been part of the GEC family for the past twenty-nine years and will be greatly missed as she moves on to the next adventures in her life.

Celebrating St. Patrick's Day

GEC participants and staff joined the Bay Ridge community by marching in the Saint Patrick’s Day parade along 3rd Ave on Sunday March 24th.

5th Avenue Bunny Hop supports GEC!

The Bars of 5th Avenue in Bay Ridge hosted a fundraiser for GEC on 3/23. It has become an annual event known as the “Bunny Hop” because it occurs near Easter on the calendar.

Assembly Member Tannousis Helps GEC Greenhouse Grow

NYS Assembly Member Michael Tannousis visited the Guild for Exceptional Children’s (GEC’s) main office at 260 68 street last week and brought smiles to the faces of our program participants.

Santa Comes to GEC!

GEC Celebrates 65 Years

On October 29th, GEC marked its 65th Anniversary in style at Gargiulo's Restaurant. Over 300 people attended the event celebrating the wonderful work done at GEC every day.
