On Friday, June 7th, GEC had its 14th annual golf outing and dinner. It was a truly beautiful day and a great time was had by all. The foursomes enjoyed a casual lunch, played 18 holes, and tested their skills with competitive golf contests in the afternoon. In the evening, a delicious dinner was provided for golfers and other guests, and then winners of the raffles and our amazing 50/50 were called.
Proceeds from the event help GEC carry out its mission of providing care and support services to children and adults with Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities. This year, funds are earmarked to help pay construction costs for a brand new Day Habilitation Center opening this summer in Mill Basin. GEC is very grateful to co-chairs John Cronin and James Donahue, the event volunteers, Steve and Mike and the entire staff at Marine Park Golf, and to all of our sponsors and supporters. It takes a village to support a mission like ours and what a lovely village we have!
