GEC Fischetti Center Honored at Volunteer Appreciation Ceremony

On April 23rd, Temple Shalom celebrated a remarkable group of volunteers from the Fischetti Center who were recognized for over ten years of outstanding service. These individuals have shown unwavering dedication to their community, volunteering consistently in the kitchen to prepare lunch trays for the senior citizen community of Mill Basin.

Through their hard work, teamwork, and compassion, they do more than prepare meals—they help foster connection, dignity, and kindness for the seniors they serve. Their commitment reflects the heart of our mission at the Guild for Exceptional Children: empowering individuals to make meaningful contributions and be active, valued members of their community.

We are incredibly proud of their achievements and grateful for the positive impact they continue to make each day. Celebrating their milestone today was a powerful reminder of the difference consistent service and kindness can make.
