Claudio Hernandez Receives GEC’s Outstanding Achievement Award for March

Last week, staff gathered at GEC’s preschool where Claudio Hernandez was honored with the Outstanding Achievement Award for March. Many of his coworkers were happy to recognize Claudio as an individual who truly embodies the spirit of “taking ownership.” In GEC’s preschool community, where details matter and every effort impacts the growth and well-being of our children, his dedication stands out. Through his commitment, care, and sense of responsibility, he has made a lasting difference in our preschool, and we are pleased to celebrate him.

Claudio meticulously oversees the maintenance of the preschool but is also someone who regularly goes above and beyond for our school. He is attentive to details and proactive in suggesting projects. He enhances the space and brings meaningful enrichment to the lives of children with developmental disabilities who learn here. From decorating the school for the holidays, to dressing as Santa to give toys to each child, Claudio is there to help make the school more special.

It’s a pleasure knowing our school staff and students always have a safe, secure well-maintained building to come to each day. Even when we are not here, Claudio is the person keeping watch over our building. The last snowstorm of the season really highlighted how critical Claudio’s work is for our staff and students. GEC is grateful for his outstanding dedication and all that he does for the preschool.
