On October 18th, under sunny skies, one hundred entrants gathered to walk along Shore Road for GEC's 5k Race/Walk. The high energy crowd started at 11am, with those running the race leading the pack, followed by walkers. For the runners, awards were given to the winners in three categories, but everyone was really a winner because of the great atmosphere, gorgeous views, and good friends who walked the course.
A post race reception was hosted at Bay Ridge Center with a hearty lunch for the participants and volunteers.
