Terrell Dewgarde Receives GEC's Outstanding Achievement Award for December

Terrell Dewgarde was awarded GEC's Outstanding Achievement Award for December. He was nominated for the award by his supervisor, Francine Boyle, who acknowledged his demonstration of exceptional professionalism and a deep commitment to the well being of all individuals served by GEC, regardless of his assigned responsibilities. Upon learning that an individual from another residence had fallen and was unable to get up without assistance, Terrell volunteered his help, despite not being directly responsible for that individual's care. Thanks to his swift and selfless action, the individual received the support they needed in a timely and respectful manner. This act of compassion exemplifies the core values of our organization and the very best of what it means to be a Direct Support Professional.

Terrell not only ensured the individual's immediate safety but also reinforced a culture of teamwork, empathy, and person-centered care. We are grateful to have Terrell as part of our team and are proud to recognize his commitment to serve our individuals. Terrell has earned our sincere appreciation for going above and beyond the call of duty and serving as a model for others in our field.
