NYC Council Member Justin Brannan came through for GEC once again with funding for the agency’s Social/Recreation Program. The program was in danger of closing when funding from another city agency ended in July. Due to Justin’s support, GEC’s program participants have enjoyed a variety of recreational opportunities including bowling, arts and crafts, reading and library opportunities, movie nights, bingo evenings, themed parties and other socialization opportunities. The loss of the program would have been devastating to those that have been enjoying these programs for many years. Many thanks to Justin Brannan for supporting the programs that enhance the lives of so many adults living with disabilities at GEC. In addition to the Social/Recreation program, the GEC Music, Art and Autism programs have also benefited from Justin’s support. Thank you Council Member Brannan!
