GEC residents and day program participants rehearsed for weeks in preparation for four caroling events in Bay Ridge and Dyer Heights in the last couple of weeks. They were featured performers at the Cannonball Park and Owl’s Head Park outdoor tree lighting events and they kicked off the holiday season with an excitement that was unmatched! They brought the same energy when they performed at two indoor events - the Dyker Heights Civic Association tree lighting and the GEC year end membership meeting.
Led by Ally Torres, Day Program Music Director and with the boundless enthusiasm of GEC’s CEO Joe Riley, the carolers sang Jingle Bells, Santa Claus is Coming to Town, Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer, Silent Night, Feliz Navidad, their big finale number, We Wish You a Merry Christmas! What a way to spread the holiday spirit throughout GEC and our little corner of Brooklyn!
