GEC held our Annual Golf Outing & Awards Dinner at Marine Park Golf Course in Brooklyn on Friday June 9th. In the days leading up to the outdoor event we were concerned about the poor air quality caused by the Canadian wildfires. But, lo and behold, when Friday came the skies were clear and the day was beautiful. Everyone in attendance enjoyed a nice lunch and a beautiful day of golfing. When the golfers completed the course, they returned to the club for a sumptuous buffet dinner, awards ceremony and some really great prizes. There were over 30 great raffles and the lucky 50/50 winner won over $5000!
The event was organized by GEC‘s Director of Development Caroline Mansuetto and Development Associate Marguerite Colontoni and supported by a wonderful golf committee co-chaired by John Cronin and James Donohue. GEC participants and staff, as well as some very good friends volunteered to help at the event. Of course, the generosity of our amazing sponsors and our friends Mike and Steve from Marine Park Golf Club, helped to make the day a huge success! A great time was had by all!
