Tommy Ryan is a charming, cheerful man who lives in an apartment with support from the Guild for Exceptional Children (GEC). He worked most of his adult life in the restaurant industry and moved into his GEC apartment on September 10, 2001. He was preparing to go to his job at Windows on the World on the morning of September 11th, when the restaurant manager called to tell him not to report to work, saving Tommy’s life.
Tommy has lived well every day since, his infectious good nature and winning smile lighting his way. He recently celebrated his 50th birthday surrounded by family and friends. A great time, with good food, music, and dancing, was enjoyed by all! Happy Birthday Tommy!
